Ipamorelin vs Sermorelin
Ipamorelin vs Sermorelin compares two peptides from different classes: ipamorelin is a synthetic five-residue peptide, and sermorelin is the first 29 amino acids of GHRH. Both are US-made, and each has a published certificate from an independent US lab.
Here they are side by side, from sequence to vial size, plus how each one connects to the rest of our research peptides.

Different classes, very different molecules
Sermorelin is a GHRH analogue. Its sequence is the first 29 residues of growth-hormone-releasing hormone with an amide at the C-terminus, and every residue is a standard amino acid. Some catalogs list it as GRF (1-29).
Ipamorelin isn't a GHRH analogue. It's a synthetic pentapeptide, and three of its five residues are non-standard. At five residues against 29, it's a much smaller molecule.
Both appear in published laboratory research on growth-hormone-axis signaling, which is why the two names get compared. Structurally, they have very little in common.
How they fit with our other vials
Ipamorelin also comes paired with CJC-1295 No DAC in our CJC-1295 Ipamorelin blend. CJC-1295 No DAC is sermorelin's 29-residue sequence with the amino acids at positions 2, 8, 15 and 27 swapped. Tesamorelin is the full 44-residue GHRH analogue.
Certificates for ipamorelin, both sermorelin sizes and the CJC-1295 Ipamorelin blend are published on our lab reports page. The single CJC-1295 No DAC certificate isn't published yet.
Ipamorelin vs Sermorelin: questions we get
Is ipamorelin the same as sermorelin?
No. They're different compounds from different classes. Sermorelin is a 29-amino-acid GHRH analogue. Ipamorelin is a synthetic five-residue peptide. They differ in length, origin and structure, and each has its own lot codes and certificate.
Is ipamorelin a GHRH analogue?
No. Sermorelin, CJC-1295 No DAC and tesamorelin are GHRH analogues, all built on the GHRH sequence. Ipamorelin isn't a fragment of GHRH or of any natural protein. It's a short synthetic peptide with three non-standard residues.
Do you sell a blend of ipamorelin and sermorelin?
No, those two aren't sold in one vial. The closest product is our CJC-1295 Ipamorelin blend, which pairs ipamorelin with CJC-1295 No DAC, a modified version of sermorelin's 29-residue sequence. You can also order ipamorelin and sermorelin as separate vials in one order.
Which should I choose, ipamorelin or sermorelin?
That isn't something we can answer. We don't advise on use, and we don't recommend one compound over another. We can tell you what each molecule is, what's in each vial and where its certificate is, so you can match the vial to the compound your work names.
What sizes do ipamorelin and sermorelin come in?
Ipamorelin comes in one size, a 10mg vial. Sermorelin comes in 5mg and 10mg vials, and the two sizes come from separate lots with separate certificates. All of them are freeze-dried powder in sealed 3 mL vials.
Are ipamorelin and sermorelin third-party tested?
Yes. Accurate Test Labs, an independent lab in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, tested our published lots, confirmed identity and reported HPLC purity of at least 99%. Certificates are filed by lot code on our lab reports page, so look up the code printed on your vial there.
